Women of Cafe Digital - Loo by PaulSizer Women of Cafe Digital - Loo by PaulSizer
With the new year, I decided to create new pin-ups featuring the lead females of my comic series, using the drawing and coloring techniques I've been working on during the last year. I've always prided myself on having strong, smart, interesting females in my books, and hopefully my readers feel I've succeeded in making these women characters worth reading!

LOO LAY TH'ENG (Little White Mouse)
Loo is the star of my first comic series, LITTLE WHITE MOUSE, which was first published in 1997 by Caliber Comics, and then Blue Line Pro Comics, and now through my own imprint, Cafe Digital Studios.

Stranded on an abandoned remote mining satellite, 16 year old Loo must rely on her brains and ingenuity to survive in this harsh and lonely environment. Will she be able to find a way off the satellite before the on-board computer systems shut down all life support at the completion of its programmed schedule? To find out more about LITTLE WHITE MOUSE, check out my website: www.paulsizer.com/lwm_gallery/…

Wanna buy the entire series in one book? Check out my online store: www.paulsizer.com/online_store…

You can also follow the series for free on WebComics Nation, updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday: www.webcomicsnation.com/paulsi…

LITTLE WHITE MOUSE and all related characters and logos are ŠPaul Sizer/Cafe Digital Studios, and may not be used without permission of Paul Sizer.

"The lead character of *PaulSizer's Little White Mouse graphic novels is portrayed here in all her determination and ingenuity! Women of Cafe Digital - Loo - Loo makes great use of pose and lighting, with details and a background that draw the viewer right into the environment of the abandoned satellite. This picture, I feel, is a great representation of one girl's story of survival and the courage that sees her through." ( Suggested by XueLian and Featured by Majnouna )

Yes; in fact after walking through the entire school, I have to say that you and the others who showed up to the workshop were some of the only really unique people I saw; people who had their own personal style, who looked like they dressed themselves (not American Eagle), and that you were all excited about what you liked, which is great. You and your friends had some real energy, and that is special. Keep that up; being different is a good thing, and makes you have a real sense of identity, because you are actually putting thought into how you act, dress, relate, talk, work. It's all good!

Wow, Thank you so much! yeah our school everyone kind of clones T.T but after a while you get used to it.
It was so great to meet you through :) and I can't wait for what else you have in store for your readers. I let my little sister read a little bit of your stuff and she loved it! :)

Cool, glad to hear it. I'm not being mean to the other kids in your school, it's just that I respect people who try to make their own identity. You and your friends definitely do that.
Keep in touch, keep reading comics!

Cool. I have Manga Studio 3.0 EX...but I havn't been using it much. I wish the toolbars and workspace were organized a little better, being able to expand and such like the newer Adobe software line. Maybe it can and I just can't see it? But I have experimented a little in there and I like the way it inks. I think I'll set aside some time to get better acquainted with it. Thanks for the reply.

very nice stuff son, the strong light effect from her blow tourch is brilliant, and that bubble gum bubble add so much to the overall character of the character.

from your comments, it seems that this comic might be something worth getting into, i'm going to go through it and check it out.

Dude, as of now you are my freaking HERO!!! It's so great to see that someone who creates comics AND is a man that views us women as something much greater than that disgusting "Playboy" image that has been slapped on us. Women do NOT need to be skanky to be sexy. Very awesome pic, I applaud you good sir!

Heck, I'm not the only one. If I'm doing it right, it's because I grew up reading books like STRANGERS IN PARADISE, TALE OF ONE BAD RAT, LEAVE IT TO CHANCE, STARMAN, and more current books like FUN HOME and PERSEPOLIS. Funny thing, when you read books by female authors, those stupid stereotypes tend to fade away. They never 100% go away, but it's a start.

If you haven't, you should check out the books I've mentioned above, they are all really great.
I'm also a huge Miyazaki fan, so I also have favorite heroines in films like KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE and CASTLE IN THE SKY. Sexy is much more a state of mind than a state of body, for me.

Thank you very much for your comments!

Oh man, I really love the style <3 It's so clear and nicely done, and her expression's really cool and the story sounds interesting 8D

I really do want to read it if I can ;A;

Did she make those robots herself? :0

And I wonder how she gets through the loneliness :3 Really, you've made me so curious XD I'll try looking for this in stores if I can.

A: Nope, the robots were from the station, activated by her presence on the station after she crash-landed there.
A: How she makes it through the loneliness? THAT'S the story, right there.

Webcomic Nation. (shakes fist) By far my least favorite webcomic host, it's so unreader friendly. Nevertheless, I hope this is a well deserved blast of publicity for your comic! Your art is crisp and outstanding and this is a unique pinup. This is a woman I'd want to read about. She's not standing around in skanky clothing looking all like OOO I NEED A MAN. She looks like she KICKS ASS.

Anyway, it's an awesome poster. I love how unique it is, compared to the average pinup girl. It tells a regular story and it makes me interested in your comic--and I hope it makes a lot of other people interested too!

Comics need more strong female characters and she looks awesome. ^_^

Thank you very much. I've worked really hard to make good characters in my books, period. Male, female, alien, robot... they've got to be good first. I dislike creators who take the easy way out and just put a booty shot in to get some attention. I have nothing against sexy, but if it's just sex without any context, then it's just lazy storytelling. Hopefully, my stuff has some content with the action, adventure, emotion all together.

Yeah, I make a comic with similar intents... I have no purposelessly sexy characters. So it gets attention. Pth. Most people I know don't look like that. From what I've read of your comic so far, looks like you've got it down. She deserves attention for being a solid character rather than just a generic hot female. Hope to see more of your work in the future!
