OK, now I get to share a little of this with the general public.
A month ago, I was asked to contribute a pin-up to the TRANSMETROPOLITAN Art Book that is coming out in 2011. TRANSMETROPOLITAN is the comic that really put Warren Ellis on the map as a cutting edge writer and creator, and was the first place I read his work.
The series was well loved by legions of fans, and this exclusive, hard cover edition book is a collection of art by some really amazing people, and is being made as a moneymaker to benefit the CBLDF (Comic Book Legal Defense Fund), a very worthwhile organization that provides legal representation and aid to comic creators and retailers who are battling first amendment legal matters. So imagine my surprise to be asked to contribute a pin-up featuring one of the characters from the series! This Art Book is gonna kick ass, and be beautifully printed as a high end publication.
This project has just been launched on KickStarter, as this is a volunteer project, with the book being used to generate support funds for the CBLDF.
So, if you're a fan of TRANSMETROPOLITAN, follow this link to KickStarter to find out how to contribute and get some cool premiums for your contributions:

Spider Jerusalem was the first "comic book" character that ever really sucked me in and spat me out with a much changed opinion of the genre! This is definitely on my watch list!
