Submission #10 of 12 for my 24 PROJECT 2010 challenge.
Poster celebrating the classic song "Neon Lights" by pioneering German electronic group Kraftwerk. Emulating the great posters of the 1920's/1930's, especially posters from the film "Metropolis".
Ahh, I get that tune in my head too often. OK, every time term 'night lights' comes in my head! I love this style. I don't know what it is, because it is not about Art Deco, Retro or Constructivism, but rather about the feeling - futurism and nostalgia at the same time.
It's not one of their "well known" songs, but I love the feeling of how it's kind of a love song to a city. Thanks for the really nice words, much appreciated!
Great poster! Personally, I was always a "Trans Europe Express" fan. You don't hear Kraftwerk mentioned very often, anymore. Are they still producing music?
