Warren Ellis has been running a feature on his blog recently called "3 PANELS", where he requests 3 panels of work, in any format, in any style and on any subject matter from select artists.
Here's mine, that he posted today. "THE POSTER". Could this be the start of a new book for me? Maybe, maybe...
This link is to my 3 PANELS entry, but Ellis' blog is well worth putting on your feed, although it is often filled with the sacred and the very profane, but always smart.
Thanks. It was really a good exercise for me too; I had to balance out the "Oh man, what do I do that's good enough?" with a sense that I just needed to go for it, and take a quick idea and run with it, trusting my gut and hitting with all due speed. So in truth, I didn't really know how it would turn out, but the excitement of that helped keep me on task.
As I said, I also chose the direction to take advantage of two directions I felt pretty confident about, so that helped. I knew this would get some nice exposure through his posting, so I wanted to bring my A-game on all fronts, which hopefully I did.
